What we will ask
- Year, make, model. Trim helps if you know it.
- Where it sits. Cross streets, and whether it is an alley, garage, lot or deck.
- Which state. Illinois and Indiana title differently.
- Does it roll and steer? A car that rolls loads faster.
- What is missing. Converter, wheels, doors, engine — the biggest single factor.
Ready at pickup
- Photo ID
- Title, if you have one
- Keys, if they exist
- Personal items out of the boot, glovebox and under the seats
Check under the seats and in the spare wheel well. Things turn up in cars that have sat for years, and once it is on the truck it is gone.
Common questions
How long does it take?
The call takes a few minutes and the pickup about ten. Most people go from first call to cash the same day.
Cash or check?
Cash, handed to you at the vehicle before it is loaded.
Do I have to be there?
Someone with ID who can hand over keys and paperwork does. It need not be you if you arrange it in advance.
What if it is blocked in or on a parking deck?
Tell us when you book so we send the right truck. Low clearance decks need a wheel-lift rather than a flatbed.
Should I take the plates off?
Yes, and the driver will help. Keep them and cancel the registration with your state so you are not billed for a car you no longer own.
